Chalkboard style art: Psalm 91

This is the point in a project when I get that creative rush!
When the nice new paint hits the yucky old frame.
To explain how I got here, let me back up.

Here's the yucky old frame:

I got this in Snohomish in like 2004....who knows, it's probably a real antique and I just painted over a $1000 piece of art. Probably not.

Ok, so painted the frame in BM Hale Navy (awesome navy blue!), as you can see in the distance, I painted the actually piece of art in my "magnetic"/chalkboard paint.
I don't plan to use this as a chalkboard or a magnet board; its just the only nice black paint I had.

I've been on a TOTAL Psalm 91 kick lately...not sure why. I find it very masculine. So, I wanted to use the first two verses of this in Jackson's room. I used a "chalk"-ish pen to write the verse free hand. The one I have is called "Bistro Chalk Marker", and I got it at Benj. Franklin....Michael's probably has it, too.

Finally got it hung up....

I'm really happy with the way it turned out.
Stay tuned for his room as a finished product!!

Job well done!
