Stencil, stencil on the wall

Ahhhhh!!!! Isn't this total gorg?! Back to my obsession with all things for the walls, this is a stencil pattern from Cutting Edge Stencils So cool! Despite my post here, I have been toying with the idea of NOT doing the graphic/geometric as curtains, but on the walls, in our dining room. This whole process is completely in flux. For those of you that think I just snap my fingers, and my house is decorated...not so. As a reminder, here's our dining room, again:

So, I really like the dark chocolate walls, but I'd love to make it a little more interesting. So...this brings me to the stencils. I like this Moroccan one (above), and think I might use a cream or white color? Khaki? Hmmm....then a solid curtain. I'm still really drawn to the kelly green color family, but then the other day, I found a solid in a terracotta color....ahhh! Maybe stencil in terracotta and do green curtains?! What to do. What to do. Any suggestions?!

I love this one, too (Hourglass), and am going to try a little "trial" go of it, in our powder bath, just to check out my stenciling abilities before I commit to the whole dining room! Wish me luck!
Stay tuned!

Great color choices Peyton! I would love to do a girls room in these colors - if I had a girl! Haven, what room can I decorate in pink/orange/green if I have all boys?

I love that Moroccan stencil at the top! I almost picked that one out for our entryway, but went with a circular one instead. Great chocolate color on the walls too. Makes one hungry - and I like a hungry dining room :)

I love that stencil pattern. I was just considering painting my dining room a chocolate color, so I am leaning that way for you. I am your latest follower. I would love for you to come and check out my blog and follow me back at www.diybydesign.blogspot.com. Thanks so much.

Hey - I just ordered a stencil pattern from Cutting Edge Stencils! I am starting with some stenciled curtains for my kitchen (solid walls) and then doing the entire guest bath walls (with a solid shower curtain). However, I am trying to figure out a good color combo for the walls. Bold in the background or foreground? I think I am doing my curtains yellow stencil on white fabric.... Check back in a few weeks to see how my experiment goes, and maybe it will help you decide! twentysomethingtransue.blogspot.com
